After World War 2, the Western Allies were protecting West Germanys borders. However in 1951, West Germany was allowed to create the 'Bundesgrenzschutz' (Federal Border Guard) to guard its own borders. Both the rank and file saw no reason to replace a very much battle proven design, so these mess kits remain fairly unchanged compared to WW2 versions. The only real difference being colours, handle joints and stamp markings.

The mess kit breaks down into 2 parts. The bottom part is a much deeper bowl ideal for boiling broths and a wire handle that can be hung up. And the lid has a convenient carrying handle that folds out so you can hold onto it without burning your hand. All used sustenance components are display/prop/collectable only and not for consumption use.

    Features:

    • Genuine German military surplus
    • 2-Piece design
    • Sturdy construction
    • Handle fold out system
    • Foldable carrying handle
