Romanian Army M74 Gas Mask

The Romanian M74 is a licensed copy of the German M65 gas mask with a few slight changes. The Romanian version has a six point harness that fits over your head with adjustable straps. Once on these were fitted to get a good seal. The mask also has a rubber strap at the bottom to hang around the neck. Equipped with a orinasal cup and exhale valve, these prevented any fogging for the user. The M74 comes from the Cold War era where they were issued with eastern GOST threaded filters. The M74 is still in production and issued today but these ones are mostly from the 1970's and are a ideal collectors piece.
